CL 110282, Crash Landing, 5720 E Camden Tucson, AZ 85712 Mr. Reeve Achieves some very nice atmospheric effects in this mostly solo guitar album with, as the liner notes point out, no overdubs. Through a tasteful use of echo he manages to build up quite a nice wall of acoustic sounds. With multiple hammer-ons and pull-offs and a fair amount of restraint, some very beautiful atmospheres are created. This recording is very clean, and there is an excellent balance of bass and treble. Reeve is also joined on a couple of cuts by viola and tablas to great effect, no self indulgent noodling. An excellent album overall, that I would recommend to everyone interested in wrangling every sound possible out of their guitars. Mr. Reeve has done himself proud.
